The Oratorio San Giorgio Dairy is an agricultural cooperative that has been producing Parmigiano Reggiano and other dairy products for 90 years. Our range includes ricotta, caciotta, stracchino, mascarpone, tosone, yogurt, panna cotta, and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese spread. Additionally, we sell typical local products such as cured meats (prosciutto, salami, coppa, mortadella), wine from the Santa Croce Winery, balsamic vinegar, fresh stuffed pasta, tigelle, eggs, milk, and honey.
Our retail store is located at the dairy and is just 200 meters from the Carpi highway exit on the A22 Modena-Brennero, at Via delle Nazioni Unite 16 41012 Carpi MO Italia
Our History
1933
Cheese Factory Foundation
In the city of Carpi, with a deed of purchase of the land and the building where the Cheese Factory still stands today, our story began back in 1933. The following year, production of Parmigiano Reggiano began, and since then, we have not stopped.
Our Cheese Factory is called Oratory San Giorgio Agricultural Cooperative because in the courtyard there was a small Oratory dedicated to the Saint who killed the dragon.
The Oratory San Giorgio is an agricultural cooperative composed of 7 associated agricultural companies, with headquarters in the municipalities of Carpi and Correggio.
2014
New sales point and aging warehouse
In 2014, after a couple of years of planning and construction, we managed to inaugurate the new sales point located in the first historic aging warehouse, the processing area reorganized and made more efficient, and the Parmigiano Reggiano aging warehouse, equipped with earthquake-resistant scales. This allowed us to increase the number of aging forms, enabling us to provide consumers with an even more mature and valuable product. The new store, on the other hand, has a much larger floor area, allowing us to sell more types of fresh cheeses produced by us, such as caciotta, ricotta, stracchino, melted Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, yogurt, panna cotta, tosone, mascarpone. To offer a wide selection of local products, we also sell cold cuts, balsamic vinegar, wine, mustard, honey, tigelle, and fresh pasta.

85 Years of Activity
A wonderful commemorative plaque for our 85 years of activity at the Oratory San Giorgio Cheese Factory. This honor was bestowed upon us by our beloved trade association, Confcooperative Modena, and it fills us with pride.
Our cooperative came into being back in 1933, and since 1934, we have been producing the delicious wheels of Parmigiano Reggiano so beloved by our customers. Over the years, we have worked tirelessly to preserve the authenticity of our product and to maintain our deep connection with the surrounding territory.
What makes this reality even more special is the fact that each of our members' barns is located no more than 10 km away from our Cheese Factory. This is not just a logistical detail but also a tangible sign of our strong local roots and our commitment to supporting the community around us.
We are grateful for the continuous support we have received over the years, and we are excited to continue offering authentic and high-quality products to our customers.
